Dangerdoom again
As I mentioned a month ago Dangerdoom is a collaboration with MF Doom and Dangermouse. I think its a very sucessfull one from the tracks I heard and I can't wait to hear the whole release. I got word that the album drops on October of this year. I know hip hop wise I have the Dangerdoom debut to look forward to this year and maybe the MF Doom Ghostface colaboration but Dangerdoom deserves more hype.
The odd thing about that June post on that its the 7th thing you see when you search google so I continue to get emails about dangerdoom. Someone even emailed me another dangerdoom track. So here is a sample of the upcoming efforts. Thanks for the emails and a special thanks for the track, Sofa King.

i think doom is a sub-par mc who doesn't have enough original ideas to finish an album project for dolo
i disagree, i think mf doom's laid back rapping style is very different from all other mcs. he's great!
doom is NOT a sub-par mc, nor is his production sub-par for that matter. you must not be a fan of true hip hop.
MF DOOM =/= sub par. the man is arguably the greatest out. (he is in my book). he as never had a bad release, and drops albums like its nothing. Doom's production (rather done by him, or whoever else) is always beyond top notch. the dangerdoom project is gonna be the best album this year, along with ghostface/ metal face, and madvilliany 2. Its not even logical to call the man sub par.
That Sofa King beat is fire.
I agree with him being one of the greatest rappers out there, I know this Dangerdoom project is going to be great because doom never lets me down.

I just heard the album and as a doom junkie--I think it is my favorite album... no joke!
Any one who talks mess about Doom is either all about MTV or just trying to get a rise out of people. Doom is lyrically untouchable and all his production is sick like a leper colony. Viktor Vaughn, King geedorah, no one comes close to even his ideas.

Yeah, this is a sweet album indeed. Its out on a rather decent webrip if you didn't know.
I jus got dangerdoom's album... Wowwww! I was real unsure when I heard talib kweli was gonna be on it cuz I really like talib, but defly two different ends of the spectrum... Basically all they got in common is being black. But this album destroyed every single Doom album ever. I think its better than operation doomsday, better than madvillainy. The skits are fuckin hilarious too, and all I can say is that i'm sofa king excited for the doom and ghostface collabo. Thats prolly the only thing that could beat this cd.
I here that, this is definitely one of dooms best.
Best Rapper out there? Man, I hear that all the time, and I don't mean to fip on the fella, but does anybody still remember Jemini? THAT muthafucka had it slappin. MetalFace just needs to iron out some of the kinks in his flow and he'd be right up there. Tell you what I'd go shell out $15 for is a collabo between Doom and Jemini with some more of that DangerMouse Production gloss. Now THAT would be some epic shit.

If you start getting the tracks to this album one at a time, you're likely to be left feeling empty when the album finally comes out. I have a copy of the record and I'm going to be recieving the real cut from the label soon, let me be the first to tell you this album isn't just another collaboration from Doom, this is the extent of his brilliance when it comes to lyricism. He can spit all day and on this album he does, just sit back, clothes your eyes and let him take you wherever he wants to go.

Hey peezyweezy, just wait, another few months and you'll be staring at a new copy of Danger Mouse and jemini back again. but tell me you aren't hoping for that more than MF Doom & Ghostface, DangerMouse and Cee-lo as Gnarls Barkley. And even more than that, there's talk of a collabo between DangerMouse and Madlib... featuring.. No on knows yet.

MF doom is probably the most original MC outthere, but he's not as versatile as Nas, Royce, Mos Def, Eminem and many others. As far as lyrical content and consistency, I'd put my money on Immortal Technique, Ras Kass or KRS-One.
Originality is great, but it's not everything.
